they're better than that, they like to explore more extreme possibilities.

Summary: Monica makes Knowle feel human.

-----

If I let her get close to me, she'll get hurt.

I'm a fucking Super Soldier now. That's what the government has turned me into, a
killing machine. Human, but not human. Biggest fucking mistake of my life.

Damn, her arms wrap around my neck and I breathe deep her feminine scent. Monica…
how do I tell you this can never be?

Her mouth slowly caresses mine. Soft, sweet… best fucking kiss I've ever had. I place
my hand on her lower back and pull her toward me. She makes me feel 100 percent
human again.

"Knowle…" She whispers into my ear. "Tell me you love me."

She kisses the base of my neck.

"I love you." I look her in the eyes. "But we can't be together."

I've told her this a hundred times. It kills me to see her eyes well up with tears.
And I blink and she's gone, walking out my door. I know I'll see her again. We thrive off
of each other's company. There's no keeping us apart for long.
